WI Skanderbeg gets the reinforcements from Europe he so desired?

IIRC the Aragonese sent a few thousands to help, but not many. But what if the pope, perhaps, called for a new crusade, one that was answered by more Europeans, to help the Albanians against the Ottomans. Does Albania stand a good chance at surviving in that occasion?

Asshatty answer à la française; 'why the foutredieu they would obey the order of a possibly non catholic(?) pequenot from a God-accursed lost piece of europe?'

Why would they lead? Was he that respected? I fear he would be treated... not unlike a certain middle age french woman from Orléan.

If there's no full scale crusade to throw the Ottomans off the Balkans, then the best scenario for Skanderberg is that he unites some minor Albanian fiefs and makes a kingdom that lasts for a couple of decades. There's no way the albanian kingdom can survive in the Ottoman Balkans. Nevertheless, in such an occasion, Skanderberg's heritage would be much stronger, so Albanians might convert to Islam at a lesser scale, and the Albanian nationalism might rise earlier, probably at the same time with the Greek, which means that the 19th century in the Balkans can be even more interesting...

On the short run we'll get a small Albanian kingdom that would last a few years, till it gets zerg-rushed by the Ottomans later on. On the long run, a stronger sense of Albanian nationalism, and many more rebellions when the right time comes.
