WI:Silesians and Ukrainians have the same mentality

Is it possible for the Ukrainians and Silesians to have the same mentality which is the Ukrainians view themselves as superior to the other descendants of Kievan Rus and view Ukraine as the successor of Kievan Rus and view the Russians as not the true successors of the Kievan Rus is it possible for the Silesians to view themselves superior to the other descendants of the Kingdom of Poland and view the PLC poles as not the true successors of the Kingdom of Poland.

Given that Krakow is not part of Silesia (unlike how the traditional capital of the Rus is in the Ukraine), I'm not sure what would make them see themselves as heirs of the heartland - even if we ignore/assimilate the Germans.

But Kiev is not part of the West Ukrainian people's republic and and Kiev is not Ukrainian speaking but still the West Ukrainians view themselves as the real successors of Rus.

Kiev is the bloody capital of Ukraine. I'm not sure how it avoids being Ukrainian speaking except by lingering remains of Russian being enforced.

And this: http://www.worldstatesmen.org/Ukraine.html

So what does the West Ukrainian people's republic (not even mentioned there - there's a Western Ukraine and a Ukrainian People's Republic, but not the two in one) have to do with Ukraine in general?

So that means we need to have Austrians get Krakow earlier than the 7 years war.

Still doesn't change that Silesia doesn't have any claim to being the heart of Old Poland.
Perhaps if we have John of Luxembourg annex Krakow and include it to the areas renounced by Casimir III in the Treaty of Trencin and things go like in OTL.

1. Somehow I can not believe Casimir would give up his capital and largest city.
2. If it happens after all, the number of butterflies is enormous. If Poland is without Cracow things can NOT go like in OTL.

Actually, what I was just asking is for Silesia to act to Poland how Ukraine acts to Russia, they view Russia as an illegitimate successor of the Kievan Rus, I am wondering if the Silesians could have the same mentality to the PLC and consider the PLC as an illegitimate successor to the Kingdom of Poland and call the PLC Poles Varsovians and view themselves superior to the other Poles.

I am asking this because I see many parallelisms between Silesians and Ukrainians.

Forget ancient history, the important thing to do is to get the central government treat Silesia like shit.
Get Silesia to hate the government and they might start seeing themselves as the true Poles.

^^Actually there is a small group of inhabitants of Upper Silesia, who somewhat feel being neglected and consider themselves a separate nation (about 200k people declaring Silesian nationality during last census).
