On the day before the battle, The Comte de Nevers agrees, grudgingly to Sigismund's plan. The next day, instead of starting with a French charge, Wallachian foot soldiers attack first, and the lighter Ottoman militia is torn apart (with the Wallachians also taking heavy losses) before the knights charge, which breaks the main line of trained Ottoman infantry. An attempt by Bayezid to counter attack with his sipahis and the Serbian knights is counters by Sigismund's Hungarian Cavalry (as well as his vassal troops), which has been kept in reserve. Bayezid is killed trying to quit the field, and the Ottoman army is completely routed.

So, my question is, is the at al a plausible scenario, and what would this mean for the Ottoman Empire?
