WI shared cinematic universes a feature of the studio era

What would be the cultural impact if the major Hollywood studios simply did shared cinematic universes from the start? I'm referring to the concept that has been done most successfully by the twenty and counting Marvel Studios movies. In this timeline it would just be assumed that when a studio produced a movie, it would take place in same world as the other movies produced by that studios, and movies would have cross-overs from the start.

Note the the Marvel movies are not all produced by the same studio, but in this world the cinematic universes would be studio driven, since studios were most integrated and at the height of their power in the 1930s.

The Universal Horror movies, the Godzilla series, any number of radio and film serials from the 30s and 40s. The Marvel films aren't actually anything new, more of an omage.

Most of the CBS '60s Paul Henning Primetime Programming was in the same 'Universe' Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres and Pettycoat Junction

Plus Hogan's Heroes, via a shoutout from Green Acres.

That's important, as that links it to Batman, over on ABC

Werner Klemperer(Col. Kink) showed up for the Wall climbing segment.

That Wall also links the rest of the shared '66 Batman Universe(like Green Hornet) to the others that also shared the Wall Climbing segment , like Lurch(Ted Cassidy) from The Addams Family
