WI:Seinfeld never gets made

What if somewhere in its production Seinfeld goes nowhere or NBC decides not to pick up the Seinfeld chronicles pilot how would it affect the careers of the four main actors plus Larry David and how would it affect the landscape of tv today?

Seinfeld himself would still be a popular, acclaimed stand-up, so I have to imagine he'd land himself a show sooner or later. Now that I think about it, if he doesn't already have a show by then, I could see NBC being interested in having him replace David Letterman as the host of Late Night.

Actually he turned down an offer by Joel Hodgson to host Mystery science theater 3000 so we could possibly still become the host of it if his show falls through.
