WI... Scottish crown inherited by English dynasty

It occurred to me that the union of England and Scotland was substantially assisted by the fact in the initial union of crowns, it was the King of Scotland (James VI) who became King of England (as James I). This was barely acceptable in England, and the Scots didn't mind at all. That is, they accepted being ruled by the King of England because he was King of Scotland first.

But what if the bloodlines fell the other way.

First, was that possible? OTL, an English princess, Margaret Tudor, married into the House of Stuart. But AFAIK, no Scots princess ever married into a British royal house.

Second, supposing such a marriage had taken place, and the reigning King of England inherited the Crown of Scotland. Would the Scots accept this, or would they rebel against foreign domination?

well, one possibility would be a successful 'rough wooing', resulting in a marriage of Mary, queen of Scots to Prince Edward of England. if Edward lives, you could haveven England and Scotland United under the house of Tudor...

All of these are good PODs stating how it could happen, true. But I don't think any addressed the OPs initial question, which is "how would Scotland deal with being ruled by an English King who took Scotland by inheritance." I don't know enough about the era to really make a statement one way or the other, but how do the rest of you think this would develop?

Furthermore if the English King inherited the throne of Scotland he'd likely remain in London, and appoint men to rule in Edinburgh or Stirling in his stead. There'd be some infighting but likely the scots wouldn't mind too much so long as their rights were respected unlike what longshanka did
