WI: "Schwyz Canton" into a duchy?

Let us say that during the period of prosperity that the Schwyz Canton had IRL, a series of events causes the other original members of the Old Swiss Confederation, Uri and Unterwalden, to lose their territories and have them turned over to Schwyz, prior to the formation of the confederacy. As a result, the Schwyz Canton now becomes the "County of Schwyz" with a voting seat in the Holy Roman Empire.

What would happen as a result of this, in the short term? (long term changes could be figured as a series of events that lead up to the present day)

It wouldn't prevent the Habsburgs from gaining power, because the Old Swiss Confederacy was founded after the house of Habsburg gained the duchies of Austria & Styria. The Habsburgs did however lose their comital rights (as the count of Zürichgau) in areas such as Schwyz. In other words no real changes. I'm interested in who will manage to become count of Schwyz (one of his descendants will manage to become a duke)?

ya but during its founding, the house of habsburg did lose several battles against the confederacy, that lead to them losing their ancestral lands...its possible a unified switzerland as a kingdom, county, whatever might push them further...id at least see some damage and mabye a slow down of the habsburg power gain but i do see ya point

So the "County of Schwyz" becomes strong enough to pull together alliances against the Hapsburgs. Being the only region with the vote and nobility, the "alliances" become personal unions. The Hapsburg Family lost their territories in the area to Schwyz. What next?
