WI: Sassanid Victory at the Battle of Walaja?

The Rashidun Caliphate and the Sassanid Empire faced off in 632 at the Battle of Walaja. The Rashidun army was under the command of Khalid ibn al-Walib, the so-called 'Drawn Sword of Islam'. Even though the Persians outnumbered al-Walib 3-1, al-Walib decisively defeated them. The Battle of Walaja paved the way for the conquest of the Sassanid Empire.

What if the Sassanids had won?

Massive setback to Arab self-confidence, which may lead to a splintering of the then still fairly fragile peace in the peninsula? Bigger breathing space for the Persians and Romans to recover.

Or, then again, perhaps not too much. The 630s are one period in history where's it possible to argue reasonably that what happened was more or less inevitable following the events of the 620s in the Near East.
