WI: Salian (HR) Empire survives until today

Assuming that the Salian dynasty would have survived after imposing their views in the Investiture Controversy, limiting feudalism and boosting centralization and Imperial control over the Roman Church:

- Would it become a more homogeneous entity both culturally (Germanized) and religiously (less chance for Reformations)?

- If reached the Exploration Age, would it have been an isolationist power centered in continental dominance ('China-like Empire') or would have opted also for launching their own colonial plans?

- Would it embrace Constitutional monarchy at some time? Would it allow French Revolution or similar?

Please, share your opinions :)
