I was thinking, what if Saint Stephen raised Bezprym, the eldest son of Boleslaw Chrobry after his mother's divorce with the King of Poland, how would this effect the history of Poland?
I think Bezprym would likely claim Bohemia
I am thinking of St. Stephen raising and Bezprym and Otto III granting Bezprym Bohemia..if Otto III and St. Stephen supported Bezprym, there might be a chance for him to defeat Mieszko..but he can also end up as the Margrave of Moravia instead.By what right? He was half-Magyar, half-Pole with weak connection to Premyslids three generations back. He was a son of the man who almost managed to subjugate all Czechia and a grandson of a man who first befriended Czechs to beat Lutitians and then took away half of Czech territory. It think that Bezprym would be as warmly welcomed in Prague as Mieszko II was in OTL.

Perhaps we could have Stephen grant Bezprym, the land of Slovakia/Nitra..creating a branch of Piasts ruling there..just like what Oda Haldenbensen's kin the Gryfita and the Suboslawic did.Why would Otto III do something like that? The Czechs have their own dynasty. Why would Otto deprive them of their lawful rulers only to force on them the prince who was snubbed by Emperor's close friend and raised by another Emperor's friend probably to spite the first one?
Besides, when would Otto have time to do such strange moves? In OTL he was dead by 1002. If he was to survive he would establish Kingdom of Poland as it was clearly in his plans but would it mean dismembering the Premyslids?
Why should Otto support Bezprym if his own father didn't support him? He was always friendly toward Bolesław. He accepted the fact that in 995 Bolesław united whole country and exiled his cousins. He would accept that Bolesław would name Mieszko son of Emnilda his heir so why would he support Bezprym?
