driven out of the country
And if they were Hutu they were also killed for treason. The border guards were Hutu Power militias and demanded to see identification which showed what their ethnicity was, and if they were Tutsi, they would be killed. No way that happens.
Would this mean the genocide of the Tutsis of Burundi as well?
There would be some spillover but no genocide. it is possible that the Interahamwe would invade Burundi when Pierre Buyoya comes to power.Would this mean the genocide of the Tutsis of Burundi as well?
If they didn't intervene in Rwanda its unlikely they will in BurundiIf anything I'd see outside powers trying to prevent it.

Burundi is in its own civil war at this point (and it too is Hutu vs Tutsi), genocide (at least attempted) seems to be the likely outcome of spillover. There would be some spillover but no genocide.
Same logicI mean Uganda and Tanzania, maybe Malawi.
There were mass killings the year before but the country didn't have genocide when Cyprien Ntaryamira also died in that plane crash.genocide (at least attempted)
