WI Russian East Germany

Okay so the tin may seem a bit thick but at least read the rest of this before you post.

Though not very well known in many parts of the world during the Soviet offensive and into the years afterwards. The German people were raped, starved, tortured and cleansed from their lands of which in a great many regions had been German for generations upon generations. Personal opinions aside, how could "East Germany" become a majority ethnic Russian population like in the former East Prussia? Upon doing so, how would things change?

While I do not promote or support the genocide that occurred and these victims should be remembered like every other, regardless of citizenship, race, creed or belief!

Direct annexation and deportation is your answer, but to do so would require Poland to be annexed too, and the Soviets don't fancy their chances in a prolonged insurgency. Soviet interests were better served via Polish puppets than reviving the memory of the partitions. In any case, the Soviets have no lack of empty land to settle as it is, and they don't want to piss off the Western powers by going too far. East Prussia was fine, since they've agreed to it at Yalta, but pushing the Soviet border that far west would put them on edge.
