WI Royal Fratricide in the Mongolian empire

I just happened to come upon a little knickknack that stated that the Sultan Mehmet II introduced judicial royal fratricide to prevent the chances of civil wars in the Ottoman empire, although it was later replaced by internment at Kaffa the policy worked surprisingly well in preventing royal civil wars.

And I'm just wondering what if the Mongolian empire enacted such a policy, would it preserve the empire or at least make it longer-lasting.

I'm thinking a Mongolian prison in Siberia, anyone's free to leave .

if they can make it back

Problem would be that the Mongols lacked an Ottoman style bureaucracy (execpt in China).

There would still be people leading semi-independet hordes. And them not even beeing familiy members makes the whole thing even more unstable.
