WI: Ross Perot Never Drops Out In 1992

What would happen if Ross Perot never dropped out in 1992? I'd presume he might be able to win Maine and swing Angus King to his party, alongside maybe Tim Penny. In 1996, perhaps, a Ross Perot/Richard Lamm ticket could be nominated.

If he didnt drop out and appear crazy and got a reasonable VP candidate he would have done better- maybe enough to win a couple of states

Well, in my opinion, Bush Sr. might've been very closely re elected. I say that not because Perot ran from the right and spoiled it for Bush, but because before he dropped out, Clinton never had the lead and at times was in third place in a three man race, the only explanation I have for this is that Perot and Clinton split the change vote early on, and then a majority of it went to Clinton after Perot dropped out.

I agree with this.

I agree with this.
And keep Ed Rollins on the campaign as well.

This is gotta happen as well.
Yeah, Perot had a real good chance of winning if he was just a better candidate. The man refused to embrace a real political advertising campaign, opting instead for just television interviews.

I don't think Perot had a chance at winning, and if for whatever reason he did, it'd be close. Perot winning would be the one thing that brought Republicans and Democrats together though, they'd work together to do everything in their power to see that he fails, and he's out in '96, heck a Democratic President and a Republican congress could be elected in '96 just like OTL.
