What if Ross Perot had founded the Reform Party ahead of his 1992 run?

Might others hitch their wagon to Perot's, be they incumbents or challengers? Specifically I'm thinking about some of the stronger indepedent gubernational challengers listed here.

Would he still drop out and re-enter the race if he had a party structure behind him, and possibly candidates for lower office relying on his prominence?

Would this bear fruit for the Reform Party-- could they win anything (electoral votes in the presidential race, a gubernational office, a caucus in Congress)?

Would he run again in 1996? Wikipedia says he initially wasn't going to, only jumping in after learning the Reform Party wouldn't qualify for federal funding unless Perot headed the ticket (as his previous run had been independent)... without that, would he stand aside in favour of Dick Lamm (or someone else)?
