WI Rome treated Christians like other faiths

In otl there was a period of severe persecution of Christians and later a time when the Church became more or less the official faith.

Suppose neither had happened.

Would the Church exits?

How different would it be?

Without the need to please Rome might it be less anti semitic?

If Christianity was treated like other religions then it possibly wouldn't be the main religion in Rome. A church would exist for Christianity but it might still incorporate the Gnostic Gospels in its teaching.

Rome was not able to treat Christians like other faiths, because other faiths acknowledged the other official Roman Gods, including the emperor's cult.
The best case scenario was to treat Christians the same as the Jews. But the Jews were not that proselytizing like the Christians.
