WI Romans still win the battle of Nineveh in 627 AD but Heraclius dies in battle?

On December 12, 627, the main armies of Heraclius, in personal command, and Khosrau's army commanded by the general Rhazadh, met at Nineveh. How many soldiers engaged in the battle is unknown, however, they are thought to be even. The battle was closely contested, and was fought from dawn to dusk, but Heraclius' superior generalship won the day, and Rhahzadh was killed by Heraclius in the fighting (becoming that way the last Roman winning the "Spolia" aka the armour of enemy General slain by the Roman commander in single hand combat). The Persian army was driven from the field and Persia lay open to the Roman army. The next year, Persia accepted Heraclius' peace terms...

How is that altering History? Any thoughts?

Who would become Emperor?

Who would become Emperor?

I presume his firstborn son Constantine III who was 15 yo by 627... He had also some children by his incestuous marriage with his niece Martina too... Fabius who was about 7-10 yo was paralysed from neck down and Theodosius 5 yo was deaf-mute so both of them are ineligible... The other 2 children still alive by 627 were the infants Constantine 3 yo and Heraclonas 1 yo (who briefly became Emperor in 638-641 OTL)
Unless the army being leaderless in a foreign country quickly elects some General/Tribune/Prefect as Emperor in order to continue the Persian war or turn the army back to Constantinople... Its the exact same scenario as with Julian in 363 (only thing Julian was childless...)
But my guess is that if the army elects someone else as Emperor Empress Martina would have reacted fiercely... In OTL she constantly conspired to secure succession for her children too along and she partially succeded it with the will of Heraclius who named both Constantine III and Heraclonas as his heirs...
I am afraid that she might start a civil war in the Empire...

Maybe but Constantinople is still impregnable... ERE could have lost Asia Minor but not their European possessions...

If ERE looses Asia Minor while retaining European lands needs a quick alliance with some Western power so they can push Arabs back... But if a civil war over Heraclius succesion is ravaging the Empire there would chaos all over Europe... Visigoths in Spain may be of some help but i have to search for that...

If the Empire is sunk into a civil war about Heraclius succession the Arabs may flood Syria and Asia Minor easily... Maybe a decade earlier conquest of Egypt?
