WI roman "islam"?

the term "islam" is in quotes since I'm not referring to the actual faith, but to a faith which begins like islam did - a monotheistic religion inspired by a specific culture, which initially gains political dominance through military action/expansion and promotes a specific language.

with this in mind, where and when could a 'roman islam' be born? if it is as effective in spreading latin as islam was with Arabic IOTL, what would be the result of many more latinized provinces? what would be the likeliest theological/philosophical basics for this religion centered around roman culture and customs? how would it be received by the pagans (or Christians, depending on the time of formation)

Why does Christianity not count? Half the world speaks some version of Latin and romance languages are much closer related than the different types of Arabic, which are often mutually unintelligible. And Christianity, from terminology down to the layout of churches is directly descended from Roman culture.

Wouldn't that be Christianity?

Monotheistic? Check
Inspired by specific culture? Check (sure, Hellenistic culture influenced the Hebrew base, but then Islam has a strong Persian influence)
Gain Influence? Check
Spread language? Check (at least for Latin in the West)

Edit: Dang ninjas always getting in the way

Early christians were decisively non roman, and while catholic christianity is very close to the religion I'm describing, the existence of other sects proves that it is not a 'roman religion' - it's very much influenced by grecco-roman culture, but not like islam was influenced by arabic culture.
Also, the differences in arabic dialects only reinforces my point - none of these would be calling themselves arabs or their language arabic if not for the unifying effect of islam on the middle east.

This sounds like you need a religion that exist before Rome became a major political unit. Otherwise you will have something spreading within Rome rather than spreading Rome.

Maybe after the second punic war, before the conquest of the east and gaul? a religiously-fueled expansion coinciding with the fast-approaching fall of the republic will produce very interesting results
