WI: RFK Survives With a Brain Injury

What if instead of succumbing to his wounds in 1968, Robert Kennedy instead survives the shooting with a severe brain injury?

How bad of a brain injury are we talking? Because I could see his father, Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr., paying for treatment which would allow him a better way of life.

Could he serve as Vice-President and assist Herbert Humphrey in his debates against Nixon?

I think mrbraingrayson has inadvertently answered this query, although everyone seems to be huffing lead paint in that universe.

Most probably not able to be president.

His family and friends appreciate that he's still alive. He has a different life.

Members of the general public see that persons with brain injuries can lead worthwhile lives and do and achieve more than previously believed, assisted at times by help which is respectfully offered.
