WI revolution in the ottoman empire

Hello everyone, I was wondering something, what if some alternative version of the french revolution happened in the ottoman empire during it's stagnating era?

I know that most of the answers will be "everyone invade them and split the empire", so the revolution must happen in a situation which the entire europe is occupied with something, like the seven years war, the napoleonic wars, etc

The idea is to have the ottoman society changed by the revolution, maybe it leads to a turkish republic, or to a new dynasty, or to a constitutional monarchy, or anything like that, this can also speed up or delay the fall of the empire, it can be turned into a progressive empire/republic, or into a poor backwards state that is destroyed as soon europe is free to invade them

I think the presence of many subjugated peoples in the Ottoman Empire means that a pan-Ottoman revolution is probably not possible. Greeks, Serbs, and Bulgarians were second-class citizens, while Arabs were pretty much ignored by a Turko-Persian upper class, so they would not want to fight for a Sunni Turkish Republic. Literacy also was probably not high enough for revolutionary (in the French sense) ideals to be spreading.

Even if Europe and Persia are both busy, the empire still falls apart in such a scenario.

The Ottomans lack the necessary mercantile elites in order to push for such a revolution during their era of stagnation (although that's somewhat of a misnomer, as the empire did change- it decentralized more than lagged behind). Now Ottoman elites throughout the empire did have a common culture for the most part, but the decentralization steadily eroded this, and then nationalism happened.

You need to have a sort of cohesion and heavy state presence on a similar level of Europe in order to move towards commercial elites. Which means it requires the Janissaries and Mamluks to be destroyed, the tax system and state presence to be overhauled and centralized, the empire be far more urbanized and literate in Muslim areas and an end to appeasing tribal elites (so urbanization can take hold).

But in doing all these things, you remove the stagnation.

Should such a revolution happen, it would not be on the ethnic nationalist model the French had. It would probably be on a more Islamist bent, simply as that's what would be the most likely given the view of common elites throughout the empire. Or it would implode into a free for all until someone welds the empire back together with bullets.
