WI: Republic of Ireland sides with Germany in WW2

They occupied Germany after the war, so if Ireland joined the axis and sided with Nazi Germany during WW2 and ultimately had to be conquered by British arms, I wouldn't say it is unlikely that the country would end up occupied after the war. How long such an occupation would last is an open question.

PS: if Hollywood movies like "The Patriot" and "Braveheart" have taught me anything it is that the English just live to conquer and occupy everyone, and only Mel Gibson can stop their nefarious plans for global domination
Or we could just use Liam Neeson...
if britain use serious forces to occupy Ireland, Britain itself may be temporarily vulnerable..

He's also Irish, terms of the GFA.
Yes but he is from NORTHERN Ireland, which is still part of the U.K. (For now at least). However I assume he holds both passports because it would be damned useful post Brexit. Out of curiosity, do you have any idea where Neeson's actual political sentiments on the status of Northern Ireland lie?

Since Ian Paisley Junior is advising his constituents to take out Irish passports since the Brexit referendum, that doesn't mean as much as it might once have!

What do you mean? All NI people have dual citizenship since the GFA.
