In 1990's, When Rareware (Who is a Nintendo Developer) worked on a new Project game with SGI Graphics, Rareware Decided to Make a Sonic Game which is in SGI Graphic Style, SEGA Was Quite Impressed with Rareware's SGI Graphic, Here is Rareware's Timeline:
1994-1995: Rareware Released Sonic Game Titled "Sonic's Triple Trouble" which was for Genesis,
1995-1996: Rareware Are Now SEGA's Second-Party Developer but nothing known about A 1995 Game.
1997-1998: When Sega Announced Sega Saturn, Rareware is Working on a Different Banjo-Kazooie Game For Sega Saturn.
1998-1999: All of Sega Saturn Games By Rareware Are Mostly Positive but Very Rarely Negative.
1999-2000: when Sega Saturn was a Success. Sega is announcing Dreamcast so That People can play these games. But in Japan, Dreamcast was a Failure (same as in OTL), Rareware Decided To Fix These Failure, in Japan and Usa, Dreamcast were very successful.
