As the title says: What if Queen Isabella I of Castile Married John II of Portugal
This i would say would occur in roughly 1474, just before or after Isabella became queen of castille and 3 years before John II ruled for 4 days and abdicated the throne to Alfonso V who ruled until he died and John II ruled after the death of Alfonso V up until his death in 1495.
Would colomus still discover the new world?
Would he work for this new 'Spain' if not who does he work for?
How does the Reconquista of Granada go?
How would it differ with an independent Aragon that will still own Large amounts of Italy?
Would Spain even be interested in the new world when they have access to all of afric and india?
Would it still be called Spain?
How would the Conquistadors do? better? worse?
Would brazil be colonized by portugal? or the dutch like they did before the portugese took it?
What would Aragon do?
How would king Henry VIII's wives work since he would not have married an Aragonese princess?
What would happen with the treaty of Tordesilles?
