WI: Queen Elizabeth II & Prince Philip had 3 boys & 1 girl and boy was youngest child

Would there be demands for the eldest girl [Princess Anne] to be declared the heir to the Throne? Assuming she doesn't marry Captain Mark Phillips, ideas for men she could marry. Also for the other two daughters.

With Prince Charles being the youngest child he would not marry Lady Diana Spencer, so presumably she would still be alive today.

at the time the eldest male heir in direct line succeeds. There is a bill around to make it eldest child but tbh I can't remember if its gone through

The same years of birth for these three, as per OTL?

1948, 1950, 1960, 1964.

Actually, probably not. After the first two offspring are born I think Elizabeth and Phillip would try again in 1951/52, then again in 1953/54 if necessary.

Net result; a male heir is born either during or immediately after the first year of QEII's reign. There wouldn't be much fuss, she hasn't even turned thirty at that point.

Now, OTOH, if Her Gracious Maj was unable to conceive after having one or three daughters, or if she just keeps on popping out girls until sometime approaching 1970, this starts to become a problem for the modern UK nation-state and those associated countries which swear allegiance to the crown. The royal family during her reign is an institution recovering from the abdication, most certainly while Edward is still alive.

Passing over QEII's progeny in favour of the Duke of Gloucester's sons, that will not look very flash in the era of televised democracy.

And wouldn't have happened, anyway: Under the existing rules, her sons [and their children] take precedence in the line of succession over her daughters [and their children] but then her daughters [etc] take precedence over anybody else...
