WI: Pyu Kingdom

So as I was doing research for the current map update project I decided to do some reasearch into the history of pre-Bamar Burma
and as a result I did some reading into the Pyu.

The Pyu were a collection of city-states with a unique culture and a highly urbanized society and were in many respects a highly
civilized people, however the Pyu never formed a centralized state and ultimately were dealt a death-blow by the expansion of
the Kingdom of Nanzhao.

So, what if the Pyu had moved beyond the city-state phase and formed a Kingdom*?

*Which would likely be Federal in nature and probably have an elective monarchy.

Probably a long struggle against the Burmese (Pagan's people).

Agains the Bagan Kingdom perhaps, but not against Burmese, since IOTL the Pyu were one of the three ethnic groups that merged and formed what became the Burmese people.
