WI: Prince Henry of Prussia becomes American King

Hey guys, I was on wikipedia the other day and I was reading about Prince Henry of Prussia and I noticed this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Henry_of_Prussia#Proposal_for_King_of_the_United_States

What do you think would've happened if the offer went through? Would America and the later German Empire be allied through a common royal family? This seems surprisingly unexplored.

Thanks in advance.
No.I doubt there would be an alliance.Being in the same family doesn't mean an alliance, just look at how Romania ended up on the other side of the war in WWI.Another thing is that Prussia is a land power. It has no benefit to offer to the US.IIRC,the Founding Fathers advocated not entering into any alliance with any European powers if possible.

The only problem I have ever seen with this scenario is that which would haunt the reign of King George Washington.
Neither of these men, had a son.
Does the throne then pass to his younger Brother, Prince Augustus Ferdinand of Prussia, who has three sons and a daughter?

How does this affect the Napoleonic War? Will America want to ally with the Prussians against Napoleon or with their Revolutionary French brothers?

Under no scenario would America enter into any alliance with a European power against another European power in a European war unless their own interest is threatened.

As for George Washington,he won't be King in this scenario. As for Prince Henry,I'd presume that the Congress would just pick one of his nephews to succeed to the throne.

But with a Prussian born King, America would still be linked to the War in Europe, as the King would want to offer support to his native country.

Difference is that the monarchy would have been a constitutional monarchy, not an absolute one.He can't do anything against public interest.

Not to mention his line dies with his death, and he's old. So the relationship between the US and Prussia will not last long and neither will it develop into an alliance.
