TBH, it's not like anyone else has proposed an alternative chain of events, or even questioned the probability of mine.

Exactly, so does anyone else have any thoughts on the subject? Or on how France as a monarchy would effect the Portuguese Revolution? Because, as I said before, with only Switzerland as a republic, will Portugal go down that road or become a monarchy that's similar to the modern UK?

1910 is quite aways off from 1889. IOTL in that time Portugal experienced the British Ultimatum, national bankruptcy twice, and the Lisbon Regicide before the outbreak of the 1910 Revolution. There's no reason to assume all those events play out the same way ITTL, if they happen at all.
