Hello there!
So,i'm trying to get back to reading alternatehistory.com stuff, when i got the weirdest idea i've ever heard myself think.
"Hey,what if bear grylls was prime minister of the UK?"
So...guess i'm going with this, and not doing research so i might be able to do that newfoundland tl.
Well then,if you decide to actually look at this,i have two questions for you!
How would you get bear grylls to become prime minister?
and, what would happen if he was prime minister?

For an Edward Grylls that's in a position to become Prime Minister, he would be a very different man then who we know. But as the son of Tory Michael Grylls MP, and grandson of Patrica Ford UUP, it isn't impossible. You would simply need for Grylls to have some kind of political awakening in his teenage years and follow in his fathers footsteps as opposed to adventuring.

As for trajectory, he would likely have entered Parliament either in 2010 or 2015 as a Conservative. His political stance would likely have been the pro-Corporate environmentally Green variant of the Notting Hill Set (think Zac Goldsmith but without the dog whistle racism and Islamaphobia that's crushed his political dreams), placing him firmly into the National Liberal faction of the Party.

So looking at his age, and considering that an MP becomes leader generally after 2-3 Parliaments, he'd be looking at becoming Leader of the Conservatives and Prime Minister in the late 2020's. Given how we aren't there yet, and the butterflys caused by him going into politics, I can't really tell you what it would look like.
