WI President Ronald Reagan... in 1952

He'd certainly make a more forceful president in the 1950s as he's younger (I believe he'd be the youngest ever US president in this timeline).

His anti communism would be pretty well established from some of his experiences at SAG, however, this would predate a lot of his time at GE. Much of his dislike of government grew from that time where he was traveling across the country and speaking to management that felt constricted by what they saw were needless regulations and a burdensome government.

Leaving aside all other objections, Reagan would only be 41 years old in 1952, which would mean he would seek to be the youngest president in history. I question whether America in the middle not only of the Cold War but of a hot one in Korea, is going to vote for a 41 year old actor with no governmental, business, or (apart from making training films in Hollywood) military experience. Conventional qualifications meant a lot more to voters then than they do today.
