WI: President George HW Bush Declared Iraq War?

There was pressure mounting against President HW Bush during the Persian Gulf War for him to commit to a full ground invasion into Baghdad. What might be some potential effects of President H.W Bush declaring a full on invasion of Iraq similarly to the one his son declared in 2003?

I always wanted to use this POD for mini-Timelines in the "List Alternate Presidents or PMs" Thread to explain more successful Bush Presidencies. For one, if Bush were to seek an invasion of Iraq, the United States would probably only be able to muster several allies instead of the entire coalition. Many Arab nations were not comfortable with the idea of a non-Arab nation invading and toppling the totalitarian government similar to many of their own. Many of them also viewed the Baathist Regime to be the final check on Iran's influence in the region. (He does have the option of not dissolving the Baath Party). Back in the western world, Bush might be criticized for destabilizing Iraq and the rest of the Middle East and potentially bogging the United States and its allies in an occupation of Iraq. Not sure if the recession hits harder because of this, but if the United States does commit to an occupation similar to what we saw in OTL 2000s, the politics of the Middle East would become central issues in the 1990s. Maybe there would be an earlier Arab Spring.
