WI: President Bourbon

Define "bourbon".

The term is often used to describe a faction in the Democratic Party which was in power during roughly the last quarter of the 19th Century. Grover Cleveland can be considered at least partially a bourbon Democrat as can Woodrow Wilson.

I assume, based on the thread title that "Bourbon" is meant to be the Presidents last name. So I think he means the French/Spanish royal family, not the political faction.

Bourbon the Family?

Louis Philippe lived in America for 4 years during the French Revolution, was very very popular, has a town named after him, and the Union Oyster House still keeps his room as a dinning room you have to pay a lot for, he met with George Clinton, John Jay, Alexander Hamilton, and George Washington. his brothers Antoine Philippe and Louis Charles also lived in Philadelphia, maybe France turns out different and they go into politics, I can see them in the Senate or as Governors, they'd marry into the rich and powerful families of America, maybe become Protestant or at lest raise their kids as Protestants, from there a son or grandson as President wouldn't be shocking
