Post-its are one of those things that really should've came about earlier than they did. For something so useful and so simple, it is odd that it took until the '70s for the design to hit the market.

I'm wondering what the effect would be of such a little invention on something like World War II. Behind all the battles and even behind all the economics of total war was the vast web of organization and bureaucracy needed to ensure that everything needed at a certain place was in its place at the correct time. How much better would the Allies/Axis do if Britain or Germany had developed the Post-it in the first months of the war
