WI: Post-its developed in 1939?

Post-its are one of those things that really should've came about earlier than they did. For something so useful and so simple, it is odd that it took until the '70s for the design to hit the market.

I'm wondering what the effect would be of such a little invention on something like World War II. Behind all the battles and even behind all the economics of total war was the vast web of organization and bureaucracy needed to ensure that everything needed at a certain place was in its place at the correct time. How much better would the Allies/Axis do if Britain or Germany had developed the Post-it in the first months of the war

The kind of glue it uses is pretty special. OTL it was a massively failed attempt at a 'superglue' type of adhesive, and the guy who found it realized what he had.

So.... You have to get that discovery happen a lot earlier, if you want PostIts a lot earlier. I don't know how difficult that would be.

The development of the basics of the chemistry needed for that kind of glue just began to start in the mid/end 30ies.
