WI Pope Pius XII lives 10 years more?

According to his personal doctor's statement Pope Pius XII could have lived about 10-20 years more if he spared himself from overwork and exhaustion...

WI Pius XII lived 10 years more and finally dying around 1968-1970?
That means no Pope John XXIII (and as a consequence no Vatican II) and also Archbishop Montini wouldnt have become a Cardinal (as it seemed that Pius disliked him and vice versa)
How history would be affected if we prolong Pius's life for about 10 years?

I once raised this. I disagree about Montini. I think in 10 years he would be elevated to cardinal and is the most likely successor. Pius oscillated in his opinion of people. His original fair haired boy was Spellman and he thought there was great promise in the American church. He turned hostile to Spellman and also began to think American piety was superficial and susceptible to materialism. For a while Pius reconciled with Spellman only to turn against him again towards the end.

Pius fluctuated as well in his opinion of Montini and had he lived longer Siri would almost certainly get the same treatment.

New Theology still takes over the Church though without the Big Decisive Battle that was Vatican II it will take a few more years to complete. Pius was himself incorporating some of the less extreme elements of New Theology. I would see a more reform of the liturgy which would definitely include vernacularization of most of the Mass. I would also see a nuanced move towards "Error has no rights BUT people in error do" that will upset the likes of Lefebvre but not to the point of schism

How Pius would get along with an American president who is a nominal Catholic is an interesting question.
