WI Pope Alexander II withdraws support from William the Conqueror in 1066?

William of Normandy had accepted a papal banner and the distant blessing of Pope Alexander II upon his invasion, but had successfully rebuffed the Pope's assertion after the successful outcome, that he should come to Rome and pay homage for his fief, under the general provisions of the "Donatio Constantini".
WI the Pope decided to play a little harder by withdrawing his support to him and revoking his right to be King for not respecting the (forged) Donatio Constantini? Would William the Conqueror be marked as target for other Kings and lords if he had lost the papal support? How is History affected? Any thoughts?
