What would happen if during the Polish-Soviet War, the Soviets managed to defeat Poland and occupy the territory. They would now have a border with Germany leading up to WW2, and they would have direct contact with Germany, perhaps meaning that they could influence the Weimar Republic towards them, or alternatively it goes farther against communism than OTL and the Nazis take power earlier.
No matter what the occupation of Poland is certainly going to alter history dramatically, possibly speeding up or butterflying WW2.
Perhaps communism could take over in Germany and nurture its already powerful influence in France. There is a lot of potential for communism spreading, it would also have dramatic effects on the Spanish Civil War and on the position of fascist Germany in Europe.
I might even say that with the right PoD and butterflies, all the continental European nations (other than the balkans and the nordic countries) could fall to communist revolutions. Any thoughts? Am I getting this all wrong? Is Poland beatable in the war?
