WI Pilate dismisses Jewish Priests and massacres the Jewish mob?

In OTL the Procurator of Judaea Pontius Pilate fearing for his position was forced by the jewish priests and mob dismissed Barabbas and condemned Jesus to the cross....
WI he had reacted more violently? Dismissed the Priests and ordered the garrison to massacre the screaming mob? (Pilate had a history of violent reactions... he brutally suppressed the Galilean revolt and crucify the jewish who removed the golden Eagle from the Temple...)
How is that altering History? Any thoughts? Barabbas dies anyway and what about Jesus? He is still going to be crucified as a rebel? or he is whipped and dismissed?

why would he protect jesus? more likely hed just make a point to the local population by crucifying those most annoing

posibly this starts a larger uprisal and causes an earlier destruction of the temple

and there would be a christianity, especially after the destruction of the temple, but it would be inposible to diferentiate it from the miriad other sects
constantin would still find something more or less simillar to force upon the empire, and thigs would look pretty much the same today, olnly the names and logos would be diferent, the whole teological thing was alwais just a tehnicality anivay
