WI: Peter I of Cyprus not assassinated

What if Peter I, King Of Cyprus from 1358 to 1369 C.E, had not been assassinated by his own knights in his sleep?
I hear he was a king of considerable military success, and had plans for more conquests (Acre? Tripoli? Some other coastal cities?) before his death.
Could his survival lead to a Cyprus-wank or are the venetians and genoese too much of a cap?

In my opinion the best PoD should be sooner because in this time nobolity was aginast him
By example in 1365 if France participate in crusade maybe Alexandria could be captured by crusader.
Cyprus could also help Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia that asked his help they even wanted to crown him king in exchange of his help.

Peter I could probably be considered the greatest of the Cypriot Kings by far. While ultimately, all his reign did was create a bunch of enemies both within (the Cypriot Crusader Nobility) and without (the various Turkish emirs in Anatolia & the Mamluk Sultanate of Cairo).

All the same his successes were able to temporarily gave Cyprus the possibility of a wank in an age where such Crusader Kingdoms were growing fewer.

On a side note, the Venetians & Genoese being too much of a cap wasn't a thing until the reign of his son, Pierre II. The Genoese conquest of Famagusta, the richest port in the island, was the start of Cyprus' long decline.
