WI perdiccas defeats ptolmey

so lets say that during the daiodacchi wars perdiccas is more successfull in his conquest of egypt and his soldiers dont mutiny and he manages to defeat Ptolmy. With EUmenes having crushed Craterus and Ptolmey killed by Perdicas could Perdiccas manage to defeat Antigonus. If Perdiccas does beat Ptlomey how would the future diaodacchi wars play out and how would Perdiccas rule affect macedonia.

Well, there still are many ifs (what about Antipatros and Cassandros in Macedonia). But with other ifs, you could have Perdiccas be the regent for Alexander IV Aigos and maintain the unity if Alexander's empire.

Presumably he takes heavy losses overcoming the Nile's defenses. With Ptolemy's defeat he appoints a loyal man as satrap of Egypt, takes the body and resumes his original plan of marching to Macedonia with it so that Antipater would submit. Either Antipater does or he doesn't, but I'd put my bets on Perdiccas at this point.

Perdiccas defeats his rivals and is in a pretty stable positon. His marriage with Cleopatra produces sons with Argead blood and he probably uses them to overthrow Alexander IV and put himself or his son on the throne.

I don't think there would be future wars, maybe if Perdiccas tried to make himself or his kids king.
