Wi:Passover war instead of Yom Kippur

Say Instead of Attacking during Yom Kippur instead Egypt and Syria had attack During Passover 1974

Would They or Israel Have been more successful

Forgetting any changes in equipment and ammo strength/type/stores - assume everything the same except the date - then things either remain the same or the Israelis do somewhat better. While the Seder on the first night of the Passover holiday is a big event, the virtual shutdown of Israel for Yom Kippur was specifically built in to the Arab attack plan/timing. Given that wheels will be turning mush more normally for Passover than for Yom Kippur, this can only accrue to the benefit of the Israelis. Units will be closer to full strength, and mobilization will proceed more quickly and smoothly. IMHO not a huge difference, but some.

The Arabs could have attacked at any time, but (c0rrectly) chose Yom Kippur as the time that would be most favorable for them. Same reason the Japanese attacked on a Sunday morning...
