WI: Papal-Mongol Alliance?

Throughout the era of the Crusades, various rulers of the Mongols and among Western Christian Europe thought of an alliance between the two powers in order to combat the Muslim armies to their south. What if this had come to pass?

Let's say the 1305 embassy from Olijaitu to Pope Clement II, Philip IV of France and Edward I of England.

Them would have quiet difficult coordinate their actions due long distances. And I am not sure if all would be happy to ally with pagan Mongols.

Not all Mongols were pagans - some were Manichean Christians, some where Islamic, and some where ancestor / tengrist. But coordination would be the big problem with any Franco-Mongol alliance.
