WI: Pakistani Interference in Operation Neptune Spear

During Operation Neptune Spear, the operation to kill Bin Laden, a reserve force of SEAL operators was dispatched in CH-47s to lie in wait in a deserted area 2/3 of the way to Abbottabad. In addition to acting as a quick reaction force in case something should go wrong concerning the raid on the compound, the force was also tasked with "interdicting" any Pakistani military response to the compound raid.

What would "interdiction" entail, and what would be the repercussions of that reserve force having to do just that?

If Pakistan was sending a military response I think their main priority would be to get everyone out of there ASAP rather than get into a protracted battle with Pakistan.

A gunfight between US and Pakistani forces is definitely going to put a huge strain into relations, especially if they were able to show up early enough to prevent Bin Laden being killed/captured and then Pakistan could deny that he was ever there and the US was not respecting there sovereignty.

Worst case scenario would be if some of the US forces are captured by the Pakistanis, that would leave Obama quite the mess to clean up.
