WI: Pakatan wins 2008 Malaysian election

In 2008, the ruling BN defeated Pakatan by merely a 3.5-point margin. While it has won 63.1% of the seats, it won many of its seats only by razor-thin margins, and a swing of 2.5% (1.8% is not enough) would give Pakatan a majority. Let's say that happened in 2008, Anwar would become Prime Minister of Malaysia. What next? How would a Pakatan government look like? Would they try to do away the discriminatory New Economic Policy given that minorities are heavily leaning towards Pakatan? Would a Pakatan victory bring a domino effect, and lead to a smaller landslide for the PAP in Singapore? Would they get re-elected in 2013?
