WI: Otto II wins the Battle Of Stilo

What if Otto II, Holy Roman Emperor, had won the Battle Of Stilo back in 981 AD?
IOTL, the battle was part of Otto's plans to reconquer Calabria from the sicilian muslims, which failed after it. The defeat at Stilo also had an effect on the empire as a whole -- pagan slavs in what would become Brandenburg and Mecklenburg, after hearing of Otto's defeat, rose up in revolt of his christianization policies, removing imperial control from the area for a few decades. Had the slavs never revolted, a more stable Holy Roman Empire would also make Otto III's early reign a bit less rocky after (and if) his father dies from the italian malaria outbreak.
So, what are the effects of a german victory in the battle?
After reconquering Calabria, would the HRE then concentrate its forces in following up towards Sicily?
What are the effects spurred from the survival of the imperial provinces of the billungs and the northern march?

Isn't Sicily a whole other kettle of fish? Calabria is hard enough, but Sicily requires a strong navy and would take years.
