WI one of the sons of Dutch King William III lived?

What if one of the sons of Dutch King William III lived? I guess it would have to be the last two because for the first one to live you'd need to change William III's personality. Assuming that whichever son gets the throne has male offspring and/or lives until WW I, Holland will be envolved into WW I due to the personal union with Luxembourg (assuming WW I happens on schedule). Because of this I imagine Von Moltke jr. wouldn't alter the Von Schlieffen Plan to avoid Dutch Limburg. And of course Wilhelmina never becomes Queen, butterflying away Juliana, Beatrix and Willem-Alexander.

Assuming that Willem and Maurits die as in OTL but Alexander survives the typhoid fever that killed him OTL, than we might have a Dutch king that is mentally ill. It would interesting if a regent had to be found.

I don't recall Alexander being mentally ill. He was prone to illness, but his mental capacities were in order as far as I know.

According to the German wikipedia article about him, he had high intellectual capacities but as the years went on, his tendency towards "melancholia" and depression became stronger and stronger.
I confess that is all I've read about this.

Well depression isn't enough of an illness to need a Regent.

And as to the main question about Luxembourg, it might not be invaded in the first place. Remember the Schlieffen Plan had been edited to before to ignore the Netherlands, so with a personal Union between the two nations we could see the Plan cutting out both the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Or hell they might invade both. Truly it depends on how many troops Germany wants to devote to taking the Netherlands.

Assuming, of course, the Netherlands can't be persuaded to join Germany or can't be intimidated into letting German troops pass through.

wasn't the saying back then that wilhelmina wasa blessing for the monarchy as the monarchy wouldn't have survived a 4th male orange in succession.

(william IIIs nickname was king gorilla, due to his bad behaviour)

edit: i'd prefer a butterfly that gets rid of William 1 & 2 during the napoleonic wars, making frederik of oranje-nassau the king
