WI One-Nation 'wet' Tories still dominated the UK Conservative Party?
I am thinking here of Conservatives with ideologies broadly similar to MacMillan and Heath (particularly the former) and nowadays associated with the Tory Reform Group. Views commonly associated with them include economic centrism and in particular varying interpretations of corporatism, support for European integration and being very mildly socially progressive. Perhaps the most consistent characteristic is their non-ideological and highly pragmatic attitudes to political issues (other than a desire to keep Labour out of office).
What POD is required to have these moderate Tories remain dominant within the Conservative Party?
How would Labour react?
How would conservative Tories (Thatcher, Powell, etc) react?
