WI: O.J. Simpson commits suicide on June 17, 1994?

It would either be the opposite of his real legacy... or exactly the same. Death has an odd effect on people, and while it would make him look guilty, I don't think people would outright hate and revile him the way they do OTL.

Either way it will definitely make the LAPD look worse, coming off of the LA riots, Rodney King, and their already messy reputation.

It would make him "appear" guilty in the eyes of history. It would also generate for OJ a level of sympathy and empathy that he probably will never have in OTL.

Agreed. While everyone would assume he was guilty (I think most do so now) his death would generate sympathy for him as yet another "victim".

Agreed. He committed a horrible crime, and killed himself, possibly in remorse.
