WI: North Vietnam conquered

We don't get the Vietnam war too much I've noticed, which is odd.
So a WI I've thought of;

WI at the height of the war following the north's constant interferance and support for the viet-minh it is decided to take the fight to the north?

Now. Of course this isn't a quick solution to the war. The guerillas were more the problem and support is still there in the shape of the Chinese...
But what effects would this have?- Further Chinese involvment I'd guess?
Chances of WW3?

I think someone might have considered that--I remember reading a poem from the war about the "march-north army," although that could also have referred to the army moving into the border regions to fight the NVA incursions.

I spent about three pages trying to iron it out, with the change being that Nixon decides to invade North Vietnam instead of Cambodia. Basically, the US Army makes incursions north of the DMZ to draw out the conventional NVA and destroy them. If I recall, DValdron was being quite the pain about it.

I can't seem to find the link right now. I think it was called The Invasion of North Vietnam, 1972 or something like that.
