No chance. When the Yanks suggested the French get a zone in Germany, the Soviets said fine, but it had to come out of the British and American zones. De Gaulle was seen as a nuisance by Churchill and Roosevelt, and I doubt that their successors would have much more like of him. Besides, the Americans already gave up chunks of land they occupied to give the Soviets the agreed upon borders. Why give an even larger occupation zone? Heck, fully half of the reperations and industrial output of the french, British, and American zones (I think) were supposed to go directly to the Soviets. Why give them even more? If this did all happen we might just see the French trying to get a centralized state with the Low Countries going, while Greater Bavaria got Finlandized. With those in the north being taught that they had been good communists. Blah blah, the Nazis came from Munich and Audtria and Catholics were Nazis, insert propoganda here.
