WI: Normal Michael Jackson

In light of recent events, I was thinking about Michael Jackson from an Alternate History perspective. There were several reasons why his life took the turn it did. But what if, perhaps despite all that, his skin didn't change (no vitiligo), he didn't have any plastic surgery after 1983 or 1986 (no Pepsi incident), no drug addiction, obviously no legal problems, etc. Tabloids don't pick on him much either.

His popularity would have naturally faded a little bit during the 2000s, but if he were to get involved in new things that could change. He would probably also still be popular in Europe in Asia, as a good number of rock/pop stars are.

It would be interesting to see what he would be doing in 2016 at the age of 58.

Obvious POD is no Pepsi commercial accident. His career was at it's height, and had to go on hold to recover - and the plastic surgery / painkiller addiction looks to have stemmed from the medical treatment required for those serious burns.
